DIU Board Members, Emily, Nyla, Isabelle, and Aveah, hosted DIU's Inaugural AAPI in Government and Law Speaker Series Event at Aragon High School on March 15, 2024. Our speakers shared their personal experiences pursuing a public service-oriented career as an AAPI and their stories that shaped their roles. The participants learned about AAPI stereotypes and were inspired by the experiences from the speakers, who are all AAPI professionals in government, leadership, or law careers. They empowered the youth to look beyond stereotypes when considering their future careers and acknowledge the importance of having a diverse government. Speaker list: Daly City Mayor Juslyn C.
